Raleigh, N.C. Governor Pat McCrory announced today that the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) approved 19 grant and loan requests totaling $5,153,475. The requests include commitments to create a total of 195 new jobs.

RALEIGH, N.C. The State Board of Elections today established a special filing period for all single-member district contests for Wake County Board of Education, beginning tomorrow. A new filing period became necessary after a federal court rejected district lines for the county's board of commissioners and board of education. Wake County elections officials were ordered yesterday to proceed with elections under previous district lines adopted in 2011.

Raleigh, N.C. Governor McCrory announced he will ask the Supreme Court tomorrow to reinstate North Carolina's common sense voter ID law.
