North Carolina's Broadband Office Launches New Website

News Release:

Raleigh, N.C. (February 8, 2016)     A new tool was just rolled out to support Governor Pat McCrory's goal of expanding high-speed internet access to underserved communities and extending Wi-Fi access to every classroom in the state. The North Carolina Department of Information Technology's Broadband Infrastructure Office recently announced the launch of their new website, ncbroadband.gov.

"The Broadband Office and the good work they do, including the new website, advances Governor McCrory's vision of citizens doing business with state government more easily," said State CIO Keith Werner. "For example, the broadband technical assistance team plays an instrumental role in providing resources to rural areas, all with the end goal of making broadband accessible throughout the entire state."

The new website includes a map that shows high-speed internet access availability throughout the state, and provides information about on-the-ground resources available for businesses and communities in North Carolina. For more information, visit ncbroadband.gov. For questions, email Broadband@NC.gov or call (919) 754-6695. Connect with us on Facebook or Twitter@BroadbandIO.
